For those of you out there who are mathematically challenged, here's what all this stuff below means. Let's start with the first table, the 1 spot. The column on the left shows the number of spots that can be "caught" or "hit" or whatever word you want to use. Since there are 80 numbers to choose from and they pick 20, your chances of getting 1 are 25 percent. That number is shown in the second column. The third column shows this in a different form: 3 to 1.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a difference between 3 to 1 and 3 for 1. Many keno brochures list payoffs as 3:1 or 3 for 1. That means you give them a dollar, and they give you 3 back. They KEEP your original dollar so you only have a profit of 2 dollars on the bet. It's sort of like, but not as bad as, slot machines in which you put five coins in, get two back, and the machine says "WINNER!!!!" Umm, not really. Five in, two back, is a LOSER.
