Diggy the Dog

2010 NFL Selections

Woof! Woof!

 Week 1

Diggy likes four NFL underdogs this week:

Pittsburgh +2½ - WIN
Detroit +6½ - WIN
Denver +2½ - LOSS
Houston +2½ - WIN

 Week 2

After going 3-1 in Week 1, Diggy likes three NFL underdogs this week:

Detroit +6 - WIN
Chicago +7½ - WIN
Seattle +3½ - LOSS

 Week 3

With a season record of 5-2, Diggy goes for three NFL underdogs this week:

Detroit +11½ - LOSS
St. Louis +4 - WIN
Chicago +3 - WIN

 Week 4

Two dogs barked loudly last week, each winning their game straight up. The season record is now an excellent 7-3.

Detroit +14½ - WIN
San Francisco +7 - WIN

 Week 5

TDISH! Another 2-0 week raises the season mark to a delightful 9-3. [IG: Warning! Don't get too cocky. Nobody goes 75 percent for an entire year. Your time for defeat will come eventually.].

Broncos +7 - LOSS
Panthers +3 - LOSS
Raiders +6 - WIN

 Week 6

Just as TIG warned, we had a rough go last week with a 1-2 mark. The season record is still an excellent 10-5.

Ravens +3 - TIE
Falcons +2½ - LOSS
Redskins +3 - TIE
Jaguars +3 - LOSS

 Week 7

Another down week of 0-2-2 drops the season mark to 10-7-2. Still ahead but not as impressive as it was two weeks ago.

Dolphins +3 - WIN
Bengals +3½ - LOSS
Rams +3 - WIN

 Week 8

Two nail biters both went the way of the Dog last week to move the season record to 12-8-2.

Jaguars +6½ - WIN
Redskins +2½ - LOSS

 Week 9

Last week's split puts the season mark at 13-9-2.

Cardinals +8 - WIN
Seahawks +7 - LOSS
Bengals +5 - LOSS

 Week 10

The Dog went 1-2 last week to put the season mark at 14-11-2. One of last week's losses was a humiliating Seattle loss to the Giants. What was the Dog thinking on that one?

Bengals +7 - WIN
Rams +6 - WIN
Cowboys +14 - WIN

 Week 11

Last week was a perfect 3-0. The season record is now 17-11-2. Give that dog a bone!

Texans +7 - WIN
Broncos +10 - LOSS

 Week 12

The Dog is now 18-12-2 after last week's split.

Lions +7 - LOSS
Cowboys +3½ - WIN
Rams +4 - WIN

 Week 13

The Dog was 2-1 last week to put the 2010 record at 20-13-2. Good boy!

Jaguars +3½ - WIN
Redskins +7 - LOSS
49ers +9½ - LOSS
Cowboys +5½ - WIN

 Week 14

Last week's 2-2 split puts the season record at 22-15-2.

Raiders +4 - LOSS
Lions +7 - WIN
Seahawks +5 - LOSS
Chiefs +7 - LOSS
Texans +3 - LOSS

 Week 15

Last week's 1-4 debacle drops the season record at 23-19-2. The Houston loss to Baltimore was brutal. If the Texans don't score in the last minute, I win. If their two-point conversion fails, I win. If they win in overtime, I win. If no one scores in overtime, I win. If the Ravens kick a field goal to win, I push. The only way to lose is a Ravens touchdown, which is what happened. Sigh.

49ers +9½ - LOSS
Cardinals +2½ - LOSS
Seahawks +6 - LOSS

 Week 16

An ugly 0-3 record last week. Uggh! Two horrible weeks in a row moves the season record to an unimpressive 23-22-2. That would mean that since starting the season 9-3 we have gone 14-19-2. Ouch!

Panthers +14½ - LOSS
Vikings +14½ - WIN
Bengals +7½ - WIN

 Week 17

Two dogs barked loud and strong last week, both winning their games straight up. The 2-1 record puts the season slate at 25-23-2.

Dolphins +4 - LOSS
Bears +10 - WIN
Broncos +3½ - LOSS

 FINAL

The 2010 season ends on a down note with our final record at 26-25-2. I'm sure many of you were skeptical that a dog could select NFL winners but when Diggy started the year 9-3, you probably got on the bandwagon only to be disappointed as the Dog went 15-21-2 the rest of the way. Oh, well. TTWTDBC
